Your kind support will allow us to continue providing financial assistance, books and supplies to our most economically challenged students. When these students graduate, they will be employed in local nursing homes, assisted living homes and centers, hospice, hospitals, and in-home care settings.

Our instructional program provides unique, specialized health care training that not only helps our graduates earn a decent living for themselves and their families, but also increases the number of well qualified, professional caregivers in a variety of care settings throughout our community.
INDIVIDUAL GIVING: For new and long-time friends wishing to financially support our educational mission, donations of cash and/or appreciated securities are ideal methods of giving. Your gifts may be unrestricted or, if you wish, earmarked for use in support of specific programs and services.
CASH/CHECKS & CREDIT CARDS: Contributions by check may be sent to: CareGiver Training Institute 1940 E. Silverlake Road | Suite 402 | Tucson, AZ 85713
Please feel free to call us if you would like a convenient reply envelope sent to you.
Contributions may also be made by credit card via our Donate Online PayPal Option (click link) or by calling our office at (520) 325-4870
STOCKS and SECURITIES: Many donors provide support through the transfer of appreciated securities. This is an excellent way to support the Institute's mission while also leveraging personal assets. You can make a gift of appreciated stock or property and avoid the capital gains tax, while receiving a charitable tax deduction.
Feel free to contact our office at (520) 325-4870 for more information.
GIFTS IN-KIND: CGTI purchases a variety of goods and services for programs, and special events. Individuals and businesses may donate these.
If you are interested in providing this type of non-cash donation, please contact our office at (520) 325-4870.
BECOME A MEMBER OF THE VISIONARY SOCIETY: A pledge to contribute $1,000 per year is a handy way to both support CGTI today and to help ensure a stable financial base in the future. We will happily set up a convenient monthly or quarterly payment plan that matches your budget. A $1,000 Visionary Pledge equates to just $83.34 per month and may be designated in honor of a loved one or as a memorial.

TRIBUTES AND MEMORIALS: The life of each person who has been touched by a spouse, father, mother, friend, or neighbor who has a chronic illness is never the same. Individuals are motivated in different ways to help ease the burden of family caregivers. Some host events such as a birthday, anniversary or retirement parties or golf tournaments and donate proceeds in the form of a Tribute in honor of their loved one, which could be earmarked for a specific purpose.
Many individuals also encourage friends and family members to support the Institute with gifts in lieu of flowers upon the death of a loved one.
"My much loved father is in the final stages of Parkinson's disease. We know he would have wanted a cure to be found, and would have wanted his caregivers to receive the help and support they need to fulfill their important responsibilities. When his times comes, in lieu of sending us flowers, we request that you make a donation to the CareGiver Training Institute in his memory."
One of the easiest ways to make this happen is to include a sentence in the obituary of a loved one that states the following ...
"In lieu of cards and flowers, please consider making a donation to the CareGiver Training Institute (CGTI), 1940 E. Silverake Road, Suite 402, Tucson, AZ 85713"
HONORARY AND MEMORIAL FUNDS: The CareGiver Training Institute (CGTI) has created a special category for group giving. An Honorary or Memorial Fund can now be established with a contribution of $1,000 in honor of a loved one. The initial contribution may be made by an individual, group, organization or corporation and can be established at any time. This contribution may be donor-designated in support of our CNA+Caregiver education program. The fund will be named for the person being honored and will directly support the operation of our instructional programs.
BECOME A MEMBER OF THE LEGACY SOCIETY: Planned Giving provides an important way to leave a lasting legacy for your family and provide critical support to charitable organizations dear to your heart. Consideration and establishment of any of the Planned Giving vehicles listed here, qualifies the donor as a member of CGTI's growing Legacy Society.
If you already have an estate plan in place, or as you decide which type of plan is most beneficial in fulfilling your needs and those of your family, please consider the impact you can make on the lives of seniors, persons with disabilities and their caregivers in our community.
People might think the only way to help CGTI ensure the best-trained, professional Caregivers and CNA's continue to graduate from our instructional program is to make an annual gift or tax credit donation. While these are important individual ways to support our vital instructional mission, there are many opportunities to support CGTI, both today and in the future.
Please consider one of the following opportunities to express your personal values in a way that helps us change the face of health care in our community:
LEAVE A LASTING LEGACY: Many individuals consider the need to continue and enhance our educational mission by remembering the CareGiver Training Institute in their Wills. In addition to providing CGTI with a dependable source of income, bequests may qualify for an estate tax deduction. A Will identifies individuals and/or institutions that will receive your possessions after you have passed on. A Will enables you to name a guardian for children under 18, provide burial instructions and make gifts to specific charities.
Simple language creates a bequest by adding it to your Will, for example:
"To the CareGiver Training Institute in Tucson, AZ, I give _____% of my residuary estate."
Alternately, one may name a fixed amount. Please discuss this with your attorney, accountant or financial advisor. If you prefer, you may contact us if you do not have an existing relationship with an advisor and we will make an appropriate referral to a qualified volunteer on our Planned Giving Round Table.
FUND A CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY: Depending on your circumstances, you may make a gift of cash and securities today that lets you receive extensive tax benefits, as well as a lifetime income.
LIVING TRUSTS: A Living Trust, combined with a Will, enables you to transfer ownership of property to a trust that you control throughout your lifetime. Technically, because you no longer "own" the transferred property, your executor will avoid probate delays and unnecessary costs when you pass away. Assets held in trust will then be distributed according to your instructions.
ESTABLISH A CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST: A Charitable Remainder Trust allows you to convert highly appreciated assests, like real estate and stocks, into a lifetime income source. One benefit is that you do not have to pay capital gains taxs on the sale when you pass away. Instead, a remainder of the trust's assets goes to your designated charitable organization.
Whichever kind of gift you choose to give, you can be sure that CGTI will use it to continue to provide exceptional educational services to the students we serve, and the elders or persons with disabilities that they serve in turn.
If you would care to establish any of the above programs or would simply like more information, please contact Felipe Jacome, Vice President, at (520) 325-4870
I always know when a graduate from CGTI calls to apply for a position, they have all the basics in place, PLUS superior training. Thank you, CGTI!
