Dignity Shouldn't Disappear with Age or DisabilityBeloved family members who are aging or suffer from chronic health conditions have a fundamental right to the health care necessary to maintain the most productive and dignified lives possible.
The CareGiver Training Institute (CGTI) exists to increase the number of qualified, skilled and motivated workers to serve the direct care needs of elderly and disabled individuals throughout Southern Arizona. In response to this chronic need -- in this most hands-on-area of care -- we've created an innovative and flexible instructional program to train individuals with the aptitude and desire to be of meaningful health care service.
In the last ten years we have graduated over 1,200 professional caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)!
We are now the largest training program in Southern Arizona and the 3rd largest in the State of Arizona. We've expanded our efforts to include a comprehensive training and resource center and 12 clinical sites where our students study and practice the skills that they have learned. We're also working with selected secondary schools in the region, including Sunnyside High School and Pierson Vocational High School in Nogales, Arizona.
Tax deductible contributions from Individuals, Foundations, and Corporations allow us to provide tuition assistance to motivated students who would otherwise be unable to afford training. Your help will allows us to continue to expand our community outreach and broaden the scope of what we do to improve the availability and skill levels of the direct health care work force in Southern Arizona.
CGTI is a 501(c) (3) educational organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. Gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. CGTI is also a qualifying charitable organization for the purpose of the Arizona Tax Credit for Contributions to Charities That Provide Assistance to the Working Poor.
